In our modern world (our part at least), we have civilations built upon the idea that grew out of the MAGNA CARTA (royal letter):
LEX REX (the law is king)
Every sovereign nation has the right , duty and obligation to initiate laws that concern the influx of foreigners to its lands.
Only those within (depending on the type of government) have a RIGHT to dispute those rules.
Foreign governments, or peoples do not have the RIGHT to effect change to that lands laws
Compain all they want, the defnition of sovereignty precludes any involvement on their part, as it should be.
It is unequivical, an unassailable, the right of a land to govern itself.
no matter how many illegals ***** and complain about our immigration process.

If current theory is true, then the 'native' Americans were also foreign and they came from asia.
no points there!
insults? wow that proves the point!
big brother, you obviouly have no linguistics skills whatsoever! The ver 'to be' and its conjugated forms are reflexive, therefore either would be correct and in fact translated vs. interpreted could have both being correct!

Helmut:You prove my point and show that you do not understand.
a visa is PERMISSION GRANTED.
If you need permission, then it is not a right!

Ive never understood how they have ever come to that
thought. How do they think they have any say in our immigration process. They like using the Jim Crow laws as if it was some comparison to them. The Jim Crow laws were laws made against LEGAL American citizens, the black Americans they were used against had every right to be here .They were not illegal. That's why black and white Americans fought together to get those laws changed. The black Americans were being treated unfairly and so after a long fight the laws were over turned. There is in no way any comparison between the LEGAL black Americans struggle for equality and the ILLEGAL aliens fight to be allowed to commit a crime. There is no basis's for any comparison between the two.The black American had a legal right for what he fought for.The illegal alien has no rights in this country. Its ludicrous to even think in your wildest dreams there is a connection..
Stop trying to hitch a ride on a band wagon that you have no right to .And its an insult to the struggle that black Americans went thru and are still going thru every day.
The only rights you are entitled to in this country is the right to be treated humanly when you are arrested and deported. And for the illegals thinking about trying to vote in this coming election. The Federal authorities are sending monitors to watch all elections. You will get caught and you will be charged with Federal vote fraud.

The Indians didn't have one language, they had
many, each tribe spoke a different language so it wasn't that simple. Some Indian languages didn't even have words for some of the things the settlers had.A lot of the Indian languages did not have a written form.So what you proposed could not have happened. We conquered the Indians, the land was NOT stolen. We beat then in a war, they lost we got the land.My ancestors were NEVER ILLEGAL.They all came here in 1702,from Germany, they were merchants.I am a native born American This land was bought and paid for with the blood of our ancestors. This land belongs to the people strong enough to hold it.This land belongs to all legal Americans. That's the way it is in 2006,its the present.I don't live hundreds of years ago.I live in the present.Don't you ?

I spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy. I was stationed in 3 countries and visited over 30 (some more than once). Before I went to any country, I learned a few basic phrases: HELLO, THANK YOU, PLEASE, YOU'RE WELCOME, HOW MUCH, WHERE'S THE BATHROOM. Some languages I picked up phrases quite easily. The only place I had a problem was in the south of France. Since I didn't speak PERFECT French, they refused to TRY to understand me (JE NE COMPRE PAS is what I heard). I wound up having to speak Italian. However, when I was in Tunisia and spoke French, they understood me quite well. I WAS asked once where I was from in Italy. It was because I spoke French with an Italian accent. In other countries the folks seemed pleased I knew a few words and actually helped me with proper pronunciation and other words/phrases. I recently was on a project with U.S. Navy's Second Fleet HQ. There was a foreign officer working near my desk and I asked him what Navy he was with. Romanian. I went home and learned a few phrases in Romanian. The next morning, I said, "good morning, how are you?" in Romanian. He was amazed at my proper pronunciation. I had found a web site that you could hear the words being spoken. I believe when we go to a foreign country, we should at least be able to speak SOME of the language. We should also treat THEM with respect. We are ambassadors for America, whether we realize it or not. Some places I went, and people I met, I was the first, and maybe only, American they've run across. I hope I left a good impression where ever I went.

Globalists will disagree with your argument, but the fact remains that you are absolutely right! The only way you can justify the open borders mindset is to remove the foundations upon which this nation was built. Whether, as one argues, we were all foreigners at one time, or not, is not the point. The U.S. is now a sovereign nation with the obligation to manage the immigration of other peoples into it's borders. To believe otherwise is at best naive, and at worst anarchistic.

YOU are absolutely correct.... even being allowed to visit the USA is one of the greatest highlights of a foreigner's life. There is no other event that can bring as much reward to a foreigner's dreary life in this world.

It is shown to be true by the #s of legal immigrants and illegal aliens trying to come to the USA..... the best Sovereign nation/country on God's Green Earth....

Adam: great neighbors do not break into your residence and STEAL from you. Where in the hell did you get an idea that Mexico is a great neighbor.... think about the crime wave they sent north... NO, Mexico is not even a good neighbor... it is a corrupt cesspool and it is trying to drain its contents into your house.

Its NOT the illegal immigrants that are complaining about our immigration laws. Its people like you and me, the illegals are already here and hired (for the most part) so they don't really have a problem : )

Of course every country has "unassailable rights" ours are laid out in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and our State Constitutions. However, that doesn't mean laws are written in stone, quite the opposite, what makes our country and system "alive and unique" is that it is viable and alive. Meaning that over the days, months, years and decades we can reinterpret it and update it to what is currently popular or "moralistic" in the eyes of our present day citizens. This is what will keep America alive and young, the recasting and rechecking of its Laws as it relates to "today's" world.

I believe it was Reagan or the first Bush who last gave "Freedom days" or whatever it was called to the Mexicans who were living here, allowing those that were here for so many years illegally to become full citizens. So, please don't argue that the Democrats had anything to do with it, since only Republican Presidents have given these gifts of citizenship out.

Personally, I say make Mexico the 51st State. They are great people, hard workers and wonderful neighbors!

Even Native Americans were foreigners once - this is indeed a continent of immigrants. And I agree that only those citizens of our nation should be able to initiate change in our laws. However, the great thing about the USA is that anyone, even foreigners, can voice their opinions freely. It would be awful to see that change. I saw the following quote regarding Hungary on Yahoo news today - I would hate to have anyone ever say this about the US...

"Freedom in 1989 came a bit too late. By then, people had forgotten what freedom meant and perhaps even what democracy meant."

That means that , beginning with you, when your ancestors came here and stole the lands from the Indians.
By the way, you made the Indians learn english instead of you learning the Indians' language, which was the official language at the moment. Now you are getting a taste of your own medicine, why do you complain so much ?
It is what you did centuries ago, are you afraid that the immigrants will put you in reservations, like you did with the Indians ?

To enter the United "Steaks" illegally is illegal and punishable by deportation.

If, we just enforced that one law, we wouldn't have a problem!

Some of these posters like the first poster. Is a typical example of an organization like "La Raza" trying to control the message boards.

Look at his profile and you will see he made 798 point this week. How do you do that without being on 24/7?

Immigrants who pasted by the Statue of Liberty came LEGALLY through Ellis Island they had medical checks, financial support, and legal documents legally allowing them to enter into this country.

unlike the illegal aliens from our southern boarders that are bringing in diseases, drugs and thugs! They don't have a leg to stand on!

LEGAL OR LEAVE!
