Hmm... didn't think i would have to explain this, but here we go: I want to read the whole bible in a year. There are many plans out there that have where you set a passage for a day, and so on and so forth for a whole year, whne you finally finish the bible.

And if you answer, please answer the question... I really would like a plan.

Dear Tboysanders,

What a wonderful question! I am so glad you asked.

Year ago I wondered about various plans. They seemed so disjointed to me. I wanted to read the whole Bible but I knew I needed help.

In 1992 I read The Daily Walk Bible. It was so good I couldn't put it down and finished it in 90 days. I was going through a really horrible time in my life and it was the only place that anything made sense to me.

I have used the DWB again since then but have read it through the year. One frustrating thing about doing it that way is that you don't reach the New Testament until October 1.

A couple of years I did read a Bible that gave daily readings from the OT / Psalms / Proverbs / NT. I was skeptical about that at first but I prayed about it and found it to be an enjoyable experience.

One year I attempted to read 3 chapters every day but I didn't finish out the year. It was tough because I didn't have the study helps like the DWB had.

I met someone in Bible study several years ago who read a certain number of pages in his Bible each day. He simply divided the total number of pages by 365 to know how much to read.

This year I am reading The Daily Bible in Chronological Order and am really finding it to be helpful.

If you happen to read Our Daily Bread it will tell you what to read each day if you want to read the whole Bible in 1 year.

Thank you again for asking and may God bless whatever method you choose.

Of path i advise it. I used to be no longer a Christian however after I learn the Bible I used to be beaten with what the Gospel is all approximately. Especially the New Testament It is simply unbelievably relocating. If you do not' desire to shop for the Bible, and when you have phone i particularly advise the app "Bible App" Not simplest it's loose but it surely comes with many many exclusive types of the Bible e.g. King James, NIV, New Living Translation. It even comes with exclusive languages as good! You too can create studying plans to fit your want. I'm presently operating on my Yearly Reading plan and am seventy six% performed and loved each and every little bit of it. But, in case you should not have a phone, you'll regularly goto a nearby church and ask for a bible and they are going to completely satisfied to oblige. God Bless

Theres only one way to read the bible, you have to pray and ask God to lead you into what he would have you read. If your heart is right with the Lord you will be inspired. Ask the Holy spirit to guide, instruct and teach you.John 16:13, &1 Corinthians 2:14). remeber Jesus opend the minds of the disciples when he taught them the scriptures.(Luke24:25) Most plans in a bible are there to help you. In addition to my daily reading, I have a daily devotional bible i read at work. It breaks down some OT, NT, Proverbs and Psalms daily so you can read the whole bible in a year.

It depends on the person, but if you read an average of 3-4 chapters a day, you'll finish it. I'm reading the books out of order, but do whatever you like best. Some people read something from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and Psalms or Proverbs each day.

I suppose you could divide it in to 365 sections. Just a thought.

The best thing to do is to go at your own pace, don't push yourself to go by one of those plans.
