i use a towel each day after i wash my hands. But the past week ive been notice lint hair on my fingers after wiping my hands on the towel. I try so much to clean the lens and make sure the lint hair is off my fingers but somehow i still miss it. Is there something that is lint free that i could use that wont transfer lint or anything on my hands. I tried paper towel that didnt work.

haha! that was my issue when i started wearing contacts. i think its a phobia too. never the less.. try switching your towels or your hand towels to a different type of cotton or fabric. i use a lot of egyptian cotton so not only is it good for drying, but it doesnt give off lint like you describe. sometimes if the towel is still new, you'll need wash it few times.

paper towels are useless!

try using a non-rub solution. that usually helps too.

good luck!

Yea, I agree there is always Lint on your finger, but just make sure the lint isnt on the interior of the lens. But once you been wearing contact lenses for a while you dont usually bother to wash your hands unless they are noticeably dirty, which isnt a good pratice but it happens.

One thing no one seems to have thought of, and it's a problem I have from time to time: check the lint trap of your dryer! If you use a laundry or wash-a-teria (that's what they call'em here in TX) you can't do that, but you can maybe switch places to do your laundry. My dryer gets full of lint - even when you clean the trap every time you use it. Sometimes you have to take the vent hose off and clean that, too. It's a good idea anyway because that lint is really flammable.

You may just want to wash your hands and then handle your contacts with wet hands. Sometimes I do that to remove my contacts that way don't have to worry about that lint getting on the contacts.

After you wash your hands just use some of the solution on your fingers to remove or put in your contacts. After-wards you can rinse your hands again and dry them then be on your way.

Try using a soft cloth for example, I use baby's burb cloths..they are really real diapers and they are lint free. It usally comes 8 or 10 in a pack but you can wash and dry them over and over and they last for years.

You can either air dry your hands then put them on or use Bounty paper towels, these have no lint.

Don't wipe the water off your hands before you put your contacts in or out I just put a little contact solution on my finger tips so my contacts don't dry out from the water. Then when they are in your eyes or the case then wipe your hands dry.

an old clean t-shirt works for me. either that or don't dry them at all.
