I want to lose weight and i'm going to cut out drinks which contain milk.
As I like lemons thought I'd squeeze the juice and add some hot water. What do you think.

I will of course be eating sensibly, i do dilute the lemon juice. I tend to drink a lot of milky drinks during the day and just need to cut back for a while.

Yh lemon is supposed to fill you up and honey and lemon is meant to be the cure for a cold.
But i don't know what people are on about it wrecking your stomach, your stomach contains hydrochloric acid which is a lot stronger than lemon juice, it might damage your teeth a bit but not too much, just wait a half an hour and then brush them!

Lemon juice can strip the enamel on your teeth, but since you are diluting it with water that probably won't be a problem. Ingesting a lot of citric acid could possibly cause you to have heartburn which you can cure with antacids.

Lemons are v acidic so will ruin your teeth and will maybe give you cystitis. Learn to drink tea without milk, but dont cut out milk completely or you'l get a calcium deficiency- you'l not only get ill but will also get those white marks on your finger nails which make you look unhealthy, and are fairly unsightly.

It would be good for you, it is good for your throat and lemon helps to break up fats. Lemon is very good for you. And whenever you drink something hot, your body will absorb it faster. I recommend diluting 50/50 with water.

Very good idea, have it warm in the morning first thing (as recommended by Dr Gillian Mckeith ) and it does make it a difference, but look out for stomach acidity, if you have gastric ulcer or heartburn, I sugest you have it before a meal and not on an empty stomach. Good luck

It probably won't harm you, but it may not help you lose weight (or at least not that much). If you're cutting out milk you might want to make sure that you are taking a calcium supplement unless you are still eating other dairy products.

In the study I have linked, it appears that heavy lemon juice consumption contributes to increased urine PH which in turn does a few good things; 1. it increases excretion of calcium oxalate(by 33% in the study), a marker of kidney disease and kidney stones. 2. Increasing stomach acid Ph can aid in digestion.

I'd do that for a day or may be two, it'll clean out your system (the water has more to do with cleaning you out than the lemons)
