hi, ive a mains item which needs 4.5v 800 Ma all i can find is the 1000Ma will this damage the item?

its got a adapteo from usa needs 110v to work will the uk 4.5 v 1000Ma work

There will be no damage if it is of the correct polarity. The mA rating represents the maximum amount of the current that the adapter can supply. But it does not supply any current at all that is not required by the powered device.

I just saw a pickup go by with a snow plow bade on it, I guess we are going to get snow tonight, it is only October, we won't see green grass again until March.
