When they are asked a question they first see what the person is and then they answer attacking that person's belief instead of answering the question about their faith. Sometimes is another Christian asking the question and still they bash that person... why not "Turn the other cheek?"

Thats not called Hypocrisy, its called the Holier than thou attitude. This usually happens to newbies into the faith, where they have an upsurge of religious fervor and zeal and takes it upon themselves to be THE ONE to salvage and liberate everyone. Once they calm down a little, many many Christians are very lovely people. I

have met really really wonderful Christian people who don't thump the bible on your head or ram it into your pharynx. They share the "God News" by living a life of Christ's qualities and THAT inspires people to embrace God and Jesus.

Lip Service works for a few mins, Heart Service works for a Lifetime as a source of inspiration... Look at Mother Teresa

Bottomline to your question: Armed with about 2 -3 lines from the Bible, newbies surged with religious Zealotism mow down everyone in their path, all resistence is futile.

Jesus did turn His other cheek many times. But He also knew who He was talking to so He could use words that they would understand. He knew what the Pharisees believed, what the Rabbis said, how the lepers and prostitutes lived and how they were treated, what the Samarinites did, etc. He knew the religious and non-religious groups and their beliefs, He knew how others thought of each other and how they treated each other. He came to all of them (all of us) to tell us that we ALL are God's creation and created equally. We are all to know God and to worship Him above everything else, because He created everything else. We are to treat each other will human respect and diginity and to teach the ones that don't know the Truth aout God. He was this way on earth to be an example of how we are to live our lives. He are to follow in Jesuss footsteps. In order to do that, we are to know who we are talking to, an individual or a small group or a large crowd and we are to understand their background so we an talk in a way that they can understand.

Jesus attacked the Pharoahs, the Pharisees, the Jews that didn't believe Him. He did not do it with physical harm or yelling. He talked to them all with love in His Heart. Yet the non-believers choose to attack Him back with violence and death. That is part of human nature.

(I don't personally know any Christians that attack others; and the ones on Yahoo and other chat rooms are only typing a few sentences quickly, so don't look at these as the majority of Christians. There are millions and millions of us all over the world and I think only about 10% 'attack' others.)

Quran..."and we have placed emnity and hatred between them till the day of judgement." this verse from the Quran explains that because of their rejection of the truth that had came to them, Allah has cursed them with this edict.so they not only disagree with themselves, they also disagree with all and sundry.so much so that even though they profess to read and study the same book, but cannot agree on it.i have gotten a multitude of response to one question about the nature of jesus[as] and all were different. they dont know.so they bash and bash because its easier than answering difficult questions.

The reason is that Christians are human beings. Human beings are hypocrites in general, since we all strive to achieve unreachable ideals. We always try to cover our hind sides in different ways. One way is by being a hypocrite, saying one thing and doing another.

Some Christians mean well but are overly zealous for what they believe. They may seem to come on too strong sometimes. They do not realize how bad they come across. In time they may become a little more considerate. Please be patient with them?

I know, it's true sometimes. Ya gotta remember, that just because someone is a "christian", it doesn't mean a thing. A lot of them are plagued with religion though. You know, be perfect or you're going to hell? Don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't cuss or God won't accept you! Egh, sickening. God loves everyone, no matter what, no matter who they are, no matter what they've done! Christians aren't too great at representing sometimes, unfortunately :(

Hypocracy is a disease that human beings some times get, not necessarily Christians. Some muslims are too, some Jews are as well, non-believers, everyone.

May Allah purify our hearts from hypocracy.

Sorry, but I have run into more bashing from other religions, not Christians. It's an individual thing.
