They are two separate things. Every person has a spiritual nature, but religion is completely optional. The UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child, refers to the spiritual nature of the child. Religion is the way many people choose to formalize the spiritual. Spirituality has many, many elements, including generosity, awe, and a feeling of connection. But should they be separated? I don't know. I kind of like the religious people being exposed to concepts of spirituality that are separate from religion, since this could broaden their minds. Good question.

I believe that you are absolutely right. I have found in most cases that spirituality has nothing to do with religion and in fact religion tends to retard spiritual growth. Apart of being spiritual is having an open mind, more often than not religion tends to close a mind, for once you have accepted something as being true, everything else in argument to it is automatically false to you. This keeps you from looking for other answers and finding fault with your belief. Most religions tend to promote a stubborn blind mind.

Not a believer, but I do agree. While religion includes the spiritual, spirituality is a thing of it's own, separate and different from organized religion. So yes.

i agree with you however some people are more diverse than others and this section has been connected, some people do use this section to promote or defend, others try link spiritual things aswell, lets just learn together and take the bad with the good, we can decipher which is which with the guidance of the holy spirit. this section was not specifically designed to promote or defend.

I agree a little...Religion has u believe a certain set of beliefs and kind of confines you to them. Spirituality, on the other hand, transcends religion. I think we are beginning to see a shift where more people will give up religion altogether and embrace spirituality.

Religion and Spirituality go hand in hand. Religion is a spiritual thing, you know the Holy Spirit. Christ Spirit lives in all of us that is born again. The two go together.

You can't stop a BULLY with talk. You have to BUST him in the
MOUTH!
And you can't stop INTELLECTUAL BULLIES with reason.
You have to PUT THEM IN THIER PLACE!
