Definitely sound like more fun than slobbing out in front of the tv or sat around playing video games.
You know what they say, if you can't beat them, join them !
Got to go now, i'm off to build a teepee out of garden canes and bedsheets !

I did exactly that when I was a kid and have happy memories of turning tables upside down and re-arranging furniture to make a bus with my brothers (I'm a teacher and hes a designer )..
My daughter also did this with her cousin( shes 18 now ).They used ladders, sofa cushions and blankets and pegs.
My nephew made a very large paddling pool in the lounge with a sheet of plastic and cushions and filled it to about 8 " deep. He carried the water into the lounge in a mug lol My dad was supposed to be looking after him and was fast asleep. He was about 6 at the time. It was one of the funniest things I ever saw as he also ate a whole box of chocolates and had so much in his mouth he couldnt speak!
I think let them do it , theyre having fun and its not a school night ,why not , you are so lucky to have a house of happy kids all getting along..
get yrself a glass of wine, relax when they are tired they'll let you know and they can grab a duvet each and fall happily into bed !!
Glad they have a lovely mum!
ps how about make a den collection of old duvets /blankets so they can do the creative play without creating lots of work for you?

Well, I don't know where you are, but it's not even 5pm here!
Enjoy them while you can... get down there and play with them! If they're giving you a hard time about going to sleep, offer to let them sleep in the fort if you feel that they're old enough. You could get them to sleep without too much of a fight.
I can't wait for the day when my daughter is old enough to build forts on the floor!

hey its not a school night let them have a little fun, the 11 year olds could be in bed by 10 and give the 15 year old a clout round the ear hole for acting like an 11 year old lol

HAHA Sounds like my house. I have three kids. 2 boys and a baby girl. My boys are always taking their beds apart. They use the mattress to make a fort. Usually though I am the one that has to clean it up.

I can see you being very upset if they we're only being destructive. (Stripping the beds.) But they we're also being constructive. (Building a fort). So I guess there is a plus side to their actions.
Oh well, make them clean it up, give them a ball, and make them play outside or something.

I suppose it depends on their ages. Make the little blighters help you remake em, then pack them off to their beds. My 3 year old went through a phase of it and soon stopped when i made him help me.

Well, it depends what time it is where you are.
But, if you think it is, them it would be best just to help them clear up and tell them it's time to settle. If they are late risers , you could always threaten them with getting up as some ridiculous hour tomorrow morning as a punishment.

What time is it?
It sounds like they ARE 'in bed', just not the way you'd like! LOL
Good Luck with your siege of the fort.

I used to make those kinds of things all the time. They are great to sleep in. Just a little disapointing when you wake up and notice that it fell, and you have to remake it.
