I would like to know if anyone has any personal experience with Windows Media Center.?

I am looking to get something that can enhance my Home Electronic experience and I am really interested in it. Is it worth the $$$ to invest? And when you "tivo" what you're watching, is that free unlike DVR or tivo services?
