that sinful behavior may have an influence on them.

So why would you let them be around Homosexuals that are open about their sin? Example...Teachers of your children in the public school that are open about their homosexuality.

Shouldn't Christians be allowed to demand that their child be kept away from such a teacher in the public school?

Yup, the Bible (kjv only) says to come out from among them and be separate.
A true christian doesn't put their kid in a public school anyway.

Do you really think we can keep our kids away from such crap that is thrown in young faces everyday?? Christians are like everyone else. They fight everyday to help their kids stay away from influences that are not approved of by any parents. Yes, parents should be able to demand all types of bad influences around their children. A homosexual , does not mean that the children are in danger of them. Most homosexuals don't want children. but an adult of their own gender. If a homosexual keeps his/her personal life out of school affairs, then I don't see any harm in that. Many are wonderful people, and do their work great. If the homosexual is a pedophile then that is a real serious problem and should not be around children. Most pedophiles, don't want grown ups. They want our precious children. Those are the ones, who need to have their balls cut off. So you see there is a big difference. I am not a homosexual, but most homosexual's do not want children. There is a big difference. All parents don't want their sweet children to be around drugs, alcahol, sex offenders, thiefs, killers, drug dealers, car thiefs, child abusers, terrorists, arsonists, and you name it. It is all the Christians, Muslims, Buddists , worse nightmare when this happens.

If thats the case, then I believe every Christian who follows your view MUST discard and abandon Jesus Christ and his Disciples. DIdnt Jesus himself walk and minister among the sinner or sinners? Did he not embrace lepers, thieves and such? All the disciples of Christ did too.... and from a more modern perspective, Mother Teresa walked among the "unbelievers" everyday! Gay people are just people who have sex justnot the same as you... so if being different is a Sin, then you should move in with the Amish... at LEAST, THEY are pleasanta nd gentle people, exhibiting many Christ-like qualities.

Being a Christian does not mean you have to be a Bourgeoise Exclusive Caste discriminating selfish person... if Sinners were good enough for the Prince of Peace, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, why are they NOT good enough for you? Do you think YOU are BETTER than Jesus Christ and his disciples themselves...

Maybe we should add in a new book in the bible with your name on it? We can call it "letters of Concern C" or " The Supreme Gospel of Concern C"

The job of the school is not to mold your child's character Spiritually or Emotionally, if your child goes wayward, then its the parents fault for not being more aware of nurturing the child with the right qualities and virtues... If the parent is discriminative and judgemental, how far do you think the apple will fall?

Add:P/s: Cindy... the world needs more Christian Parents like you, people like you make the world a more pleasant place to raise children and to live life. Ifyou are a Christian, youa re one Christian i am willingto accept the Good News from.

Well first of all, relax a little bit. Try talking to your kids and make sure that you're not getting hyped up about something unnecessary. If your children understand that this is a bad influence and that you have a good reason to be upset, you're on the right track. Try talking to the Principal of the school first off, explain your reasonings and chill out. Endorse the fact that when your children grow up, you can't protect them from everything anymore, so if this is something you can't deal with, and your children can, then relax and simply tell yourself that this is just a pebble in your childrens' life, and that you might's well get used to the fact that some people are like that. With all due respect, good luck, and remeber, relax is the key to success!

Well I'm a teenager and religion is kept out of school so no. Christians shouldn't be the only ones who could be given such rights if that were the case. Not all Christians think the same. All Christians sin anyway so homosexuals shouldn't be any different. Not everyone is Christian. I have hung around people who do drugs and steal. Noone is perfect. Get over your homophobia. Religion shouldn't be in school.

It is important to remember that our public schools are secular.

I have taught my children the values that they need at home and at church. They know that school teaches wrongful things and that they have to be prepared to hear false teachings.

If the teachers uses or sells drugs, I do believe that when they get caught they still lose their jobs over it, but in the secular world it is becoming more and more open for homosexuals to openly declare their weaknessess.

I cannot change the world, for it and what is happening is part of the total plan of God. One thing I was told a few years back has sustained me through all this when it comes to my children.

It is not our job to keep our children away from the world, it is our job to prepare them for it.

Yes. Except in countries like Canada where it's illegal for Christians to (rightly) say that homosexuality is sin.

What if it was a homosexual dressed as a priest? Or a scout leader?

Have your child transferred or home school them you'll save a lot of time instead of dealing with the delay tactics of the school system. The administrations actually go through training on how to deal with "interfering Christians". Delay and re-direct are 2 of their favorites.

Don't be a dork. Homosexuality isn't illegal for one thing. Secondly, could someone influence YOU to become gay...just because you were in the same room with them? Do you think teachers sit kids down and tell them "Now, I want you to try being gay for a week. There's a quiz on Friday." ?

It's illegal to 'demand' that a teacher reveal their sexuality to begin with, and WRONG for you to assume someone is gay without knowing. People like you, ruin reputations of good, decent people with your judgemental bull.

they are allowed to. they can homeschool.
why don't you bring up straight teachers who cohabitate before marriage? for that matter, next you'll be trying to tell us they can force public schools to hire only churchgoers.

homosexuality is not an addictive behavior, though. there are a lot of homosexuals who have their life together, despite being homosexual. the same cannot be said for drug users.

and yes, i am a christian.
