The Yorkshire costal conurbation does not have any queers proclaimed the man-made stretchy fabic clad lady before scoring a goal.

What well know phrase could (with a fair bit of tweaking) explain the above.

I await you response - one hour max.

Pathetic mortals... I lower myself to offer some clues.

The conurbation in question is Hull (conurbation being a sprawing inhabited mass)

The man made stretchy fabric is indeed lycra (well done twisty)

For queer think of a slang term for a homosexual guy.

Triumph, victory.....etc....

OK so lets take this step by step.

Conurbation = Hull
Does not have any = hath no
Queers = fairy
man-made stretch fabric = lycra
Lady = woman
scored a goal = scored.

put it all together and we have ...

Hull hath no fairies lycra woman scored

Which is

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

OK that was cerebral, will be easier from now on.

What minus points for you, reasonable sure Hull is in the East riding of Yorkshire.

It's something about the striker in lycra saying there aren't any dykes somewhere, but then I get lost, no good at geography
