Not pretending to know anything about Islam here (that's why I'm asking); I just herd this on the radio:

If a prophet can not lie...

And Jesus Christ is considered to be a prophet in Islam...

And Jesus Christ said that he is the Messiah and that no one comes to the father except through him...

How do you reconcile?

True.. Prophet can not lie..
I don't get the point of your statement..is there a lie in what
Jesus (pbuh) said in that .statement..how are you interpreting his words..I am not a christian ..or read the Bible and know nothing about the Christianity ..and looking at the statement Jesus (pbuh) made ..i can see no lie..but a perfect Truth in what he said ..I interpret the meaning .no one comes to the father except through him..
Meaning ..you have to believe in him first and his teachings than you have truly found God this is how you go through Jesus (pbuh )....
this is my impression not being a christian ..I also respect Christianity and know that it is a good religion ..however my faith is Islam

We Muslims do not believe that Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) is the son of God or God. We believe he is one of the greatest prophets. He is pure and equal to all the other prophets. We believe that the Lord saved his beloved and he wasn't crucified on the cross. The Lord put Judus on the cross and made him a Jesus look-alike for betraying the Lord's beloved prophet. Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) was raised to the heavens and we believe in his second coming and that he is the true messiah.

understand this.what Jesus said is true.for the people during his time.you cant possibly think that Abraham,Issac,Noah...who did not go thru Jesus, would be denied paradise.you cant possibly believe that.every prophet told his people the same very thing.if you want everlasting life obey the commandments.the first of which is thou shall have no other God before Him.that was the law of moses.but all prophets said the same.thru the messenger, comes God.your argument is baseless to the Muslims.for the life of us we cannot understand why you Christians cant see,or care to see.so do you consider the prophets before Jesus to be doomed to the fire because they dont recognize Jesus as God?how do you come to that?the position of the muslims is clear.you want paradise? then accept all the prophets and deny none.there is no God but Allah and muhammad is his last messenger.

U dont make a sense:

"Not pretending to know anything about Islam here (that's why I'm asking); I just herd this on the radio"

Saying so ...u imply u really dont care about the answers u might get.

Any way, as long as u remain ignorant no change u will see...

and for me would be a waste of time.

first Bible was corrupted by ppl who came after Jesus .
so its not the original bible , in fact there are 40 different vision of bibles all are not the same .
even Christians argued about the real identity of Jesus .whether he is pure divine or human or part of them both.
we believe Jesus is the messiah and we believe he will come back

We believe that Jesus (PBUH) never lied.

Jesus did not say that he was the son of God. Also, we believe that this concept of having a mediator between the God and people is disrespectful to God.

The King who is having open doors for his people is better than the King who says come to my son first !!

Any body who says that is disrespectful to his God.

Jesus rebuked those who called him Lord. ON HIS OWN IDENTITY Jesus' statements throughout the Bible suggest that any idea of exalting him to divinity was unthinkable. In Matthew's gospel, Jesus denounces in the strongest terms those who exalt him by calling him `Lord': "None of those who cry out, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of God but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. When the day comes, many will plead with me, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? Have we not exorcised demons by its power? Did we not do many miracles in your name as well?' Then I will declare to them solemnly, `I never knew you. Out of my sight, you evil doers!' " And behold GOD will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary Did you say to men, Worship me and my mother as gods besides Allah He will say-"Glory to you I could never say what I had no right (to say')" "And behold Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary Did you say to men, Worship me and my mother as gods besides Allah He will say-"Glory to you I could never say what I had no right (to say')" Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad were all holy and beloved prophets and Messengers of God............none close to be equal to God...........and those who believe God has a partner God..............it is Blashphemy

but the bible says he does, and it predated the quran. You it took upon yourselves to change the bible? isn't that a rude thing to do, since you claim its rude to claim the quran wasn't changed and is the truth and follows the teachings of Jesus as well as mohammed? does that mean you only pick what you want to believe and ignore the other parts? Because when I was growing up, that was called lieing by omission
