My Great Grandfather, Patrick Martin was apparently in WW1 in Russia but have no further details.

My Grandfather was in the 14th/18th Hussars in Mesapotamia then. When the armistice was signed, Russia tried to invade Mespot and were turned back by us Brits. We were in what is now Georgia but got out as soon as the Russian threat subsided.
My Grandad's commanding officer was Police Chief of Bahgdad, where are you now we need you, Tommy Kitson?

The 8th Hussars were along with the Light Brigade, my Father in Law was one.
