Do you believe veterinarians are animal lovers if they eat meat instead of being vegetarians?

Yes im a veggie and training to be a vet, i dont mind people eating animals but the care that the animals are provided are minimal and cruel in animals. If they eat free range meat i think its better. But i dont see how eating meat is helping animals in anyway!

Eating meat produced humanely can go hand in hand with being an animal lover! Vegetarians forget that without meat production these farm animals would become exitinct.

You can love animals wihtout being a vegetarian. Vets have a more direct effect on the health and well-being of animals than lay people who refuse to eat meat.

Veterinarians study the welfare of animals, both from an emotionally attached and commerical value. Being vegetarian has nothing to do with being a veterinarian; humans have always eaten meat and vets study to promote the welfare of animals but not change their exploitation within society.

Yes in most cases, i'm a vegetarian and i think that it varies. They can be a specific type of animal lover for instance like a dog and still eat cows. If they say they're an all over animal lover than they're hyopcritical.

I think I would classify myself as an animal lover, at least there seems to always be more animals in the house than people, but I sure do love a good ole T bone steak.
'Sides my dogs still seem to like me even though they eat meat.

Ask the animals!! Dogs and cats are carnivores!!! do they stop eating meat because they love their species? CYCLE OF LIFE!

No, they are not hypocritical. I love animals; and I too, eat meat! Just because I love animals does not make me, or others, hypocrites for eating meat.

Not at all.
Many people are vegiterian and are not just beacuse they like animals.
I love animals and I have no problems with eating them for food. That is what they are raised for. I was vegiterian for years. Had nothing at all to do with liking or dis liking animals.
