The teacher makes a huge difference in whether you get it or not. I had to drop college algebra the first time because the teacher's style was just so bad! He would give the assignment and then explain how to do it the next day. If you asked too many questions he would get frustrated and tell ya to just go back and look at the book. When I retook the class with a different instructor I did much better and passed the class with a B.
I will tell one thing I make it a point to do, and yes its a pain, is I write out every step as I work the problem, within reason of course. I might shortcut some basic steps, but not too often. At least if you write it all out you can go back and look over your work if you screw up and hopefully either find your mistake or pinpoint a place (other than starting from scratch) to use a point to go back to.
Like several other people said too, ask around for reliable help. Your college should have a tutoring service or help center of some kind. Put their butts to work!
Of course, you can always post here for help. I've seen a lot of people, myself included, that really try to not just answer the problem, but explain it as well.
Good luck!

Algebra is meant to instruct you serious/analytical thinking skills and using good judgment. Unfortuanately, the common US device is between the worst at coaching mathematica normally. the approach of memorization and not be attentive to-how the why's and how's of math turn many a dazzling scholar faraway from added learn of the two math and technology. you're additionally particularly nicely suited interior the thought which you will no longer extremely desire it! except you're headed for added education in math, technology, engineering, tech, or drugs, maximum pupils extremely in simple terms use as much as the Algebra I point. That being pronounced, algebra is in simple terms yet another hoop which you're able to desire to bounce through to get to what you incredibly need to do. there'll alway be instructions, artwork assignments, etc. that are possible pointless. studying a thank you to "deal" with them is taken into consideration necessary. in case you incredibly could desire to make your studying appropriate, ask the instructor to contain real existence purposes of what you're studying (in a deferential way!). Ask him/her to return up with situations and appropriate ingredients. maximum instructors relish considerate comments and insights, plus you will stand out as a scholar that needs greater effective than in simple terms the required seat time. good success!

.6v+.4(.3+v)=2.34
First get rid of the parenthesis. .6v+(.4*.3)+.4v=2.34
Then get all like terms on the same side.
.6v+.4v=1.0v;
.4*.3=.12;
2.34-.12=2.22;
1.0v = 2.22
Divide both sides by 1 to isolate v.
1.0v/1 = 2.22/1
v = 2.22
Know the rules and properties. Use them. Know what you can divide across. Know when to add. Know that what you do to one side you have to do to the other to maintain the equality/equation.
