Yah thats kinda funny I too started researching the religion. I found it to be very close to my own religion and have really been questioning lately whether or not I should convert.

Im a muslim and very proud to hold the faith of God. Frankly my friend, I myself did tried VERY hard to challenge Islam on is it a fake religion or is there any religion out ther that is nearer to GOD. I just couldn't find any single mistakes in Islam. No matter how much i tried to but i just can't. All the rule and regulations of Islam is somehow or rather backed up by many good reasons. EVERYTHING has a reason and the best part is its provable. Not just a set of rule made up for nothing. Everything is logical.

If people knew the reality, they would really be surprised.
Check out this remark by George Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856-2 November 1950) who was an Irish playwright, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, 1925
"I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today."

How come this doesnt come in the media. How come Islam is the fastest growing religion and yet the media always portrays it in a negative fashion.
If they only knew.......

I am an american convert to Islam. This is also my second Ramadan. It is important for us to educate ourselves and seek knowledge and question everything. It is very easy to blindly follow others, especially when you convert to a new religion. But you cannot just BLINDLY follow. You must be able to justify your actions and your decisions to yourself and one day to God. Yes, you are right. People are afraid of the truth. And unfortunately many Muslims are, too.

Truth, TRUTH, you seriously believe in the Dem. so called truth. The media are just the inferiority of the world. They get their hands on every little bit of gossip, then turn it into a crissis for the people of the U.S. If you wan't the truth, go over there and dodge some Muslim R.P.G.'s or bullets. I dought god would tell the writer of the Quran to kill any one who wasn't a Muslim and wouldn't convert. I just wonder, why aren't they attacking China?

Congratulations, sister.
I agree with you. People these days are brainwashed by the media and they are too lazy to find whether what they see is right or wrong. How would a person bother trying to know the truth when s/he revels in slandering Islam? Or his/her one of the favorite pastimes is
insulting Islam?

Islam is truly a beautiful religion that taught me how to be a human being.
and the media in the west are very much controled by people that are not likely with the muslim side. it's intersting that they always show the muslim word as desert and people walking with dirty clothes, they will never show you the modern structure of the muslim countries, or the beauty of Islam. this is just an example.
the plan is americans have to only see negative, negative, and negative about muslims.

Most people believe what they want to believe, and no amount of truth will change their minds. It would be nice if there were more people like you who think for themselves.
