It is nature's way of cleaning house. The foetus was probably not viable for one reason or another, so natural selection took over.

I have had 4 miscarriages myself--only one of which was caused by an accident.

Just learn to say goodbye, and let go. And when the time is right you try again.

Usually, it's because there is something wrong with the fetus, and the body expels it. Sometimes it's because of some sort of injury.

Wikipedia definition for miscarriage:
Miscarriage or spontaneous abortion is the natural or accidental termination of a pregnancy at a stage where the embryo or the fetus is incapable of surviving, generally defined at a gestation of prior to 20 weeks. Miscarriages are the most common complication of pregnancy.

My first one it replaced into 10 weeks and my 2d one it replaced into 8 weeks. At 6 weeks each thing appeared great for the two pregnancies, even observed a heartbeat and each thing yet nevertheless went directly to miscarry.

MANY reasons...ranging from the something wrong with the fetus, to something wrong with the mother's uterus....many things in between. I feel that if nature is trying to end the pregnancy, it is for a good reason, and it is best not to fight it.
