I had the CopperT twice and I loved it. Didnt have to woryy about taking any pills, didnt have any weight issues with it, the cost of condoms and no worrying if it was going to break or not. I would use it again, but after this pg I'm getting tied. You do need to talk to your doctor and see what is best for you cuz everyone is different. Good Luck.

Dont get a copper T. Get Mirena, just approve in the past few years in U.S. It is an IUC not IUD and it is better. BUT only get an IUD or IUC AFTER you have had 1 baby because it will hurt like HELL for about 3 months if you have never had a baby (uterus is not used to being stretched out if you havent had a baby yet).
Get birth control pills for now if you havent had a baby yet, not an IUD/IUC.

My sister has an IUD (copper T) and says that it has been great after she got used to it. If you are looking for a long term form of birth control (up to 5 years) this is a great option.

Birth Control Patch, Birth Control Pills, Birth Control (Nuva) Ring, Diaphragm, DepoProvera shot... you should talk with your gynecologist about this.. he/she can talk to you about the pros and cons of all of your options.
