The atheists believe they are intelligent, so they think it's their responsibilities or for sense of superiority try to brainwash people and make them become faithless.

The theists believe they are saved and chosen to spread the knowledge of words of gods they have learnt and save as much souls as they can.

In this fight of ideas, both are stupid.

I prefer those who go to the fountain when they are thirsty than those who go to the mountain if the mountain cannot come to them.

LOL. Next time, try spell check. It's right there. WE don't come here to convert anyone. Show me one post that is from an atheist attempting to convert someone. But I can show you dozens from christians who do. If you were as smart as you think you are, you would be able to see through the bible and take it for what it is - a collection of fairy tales written by men. Belief in or against religion doesn't make anyone smarter than anyone else, although the more intelligent, well thought out questions and answers, (with proper grammar and spelling), seem to come from atheists. Your question validates this. I count at least 9 errors of grammar and spelling in your question.

I'm not an athiest, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the reason they'd try to convince anyone that there is NO GOD, is the same reason a person of any other religion or set of beliefs would try to convince someone that there IS A GOD.

I don't try to convince anyone about the non-existance of God. There are also other reasons for an atheist to go to this section. It should be possible to speak and learn about different believes and convictions without trying to convert others.

Actually, that's a very interesting question.

I have an atheist friend who has a very strong IQ. She's way smart. But then she has a habit of making it look like people who believe in God are stupid. Well, she says it indirectly. But the way I see it, I think people are smart if they are able to seek the truth and know a bomb doesn't strike without someone striking it.

The world doesn't spin without someone controlling it. And then I hear all this crap "God doesn't care about me". Well why should He if you deny Him in the first place? Not showing gratitude or thank you. I hate it when I help people and they give no thanks, etc. It makes me inclined to not help them and instead help people who respect and appreciate help.

To be honest with you, I don't understand how people can deny the blessings they have. :/ Okay, it's their choice, and that's fine. But then I don't understand why they complain about their life, either... it's not like they say thank you...

Sorry but this is still a SOCIETY AND CULTURE SECTION. Alot of the time they ask about religion. They don't try to convince anyone that God doesn't exist, besides they don't believe in ANY divine forces not just God. Why does it always have to be about God? You are just paying to much attention If you don't like their questions than don't answer it.

If you're going to ask a question, please proof read it so it makes some sense. I imagine atheists try to convince people that God doesn't exist to get a rise out of people. Personally, if a person wants to believe in God fine–if not that is fine as well.

Ok, Stop using plural because I do not try to convince any one to change their minds about religion. I tell everyone to stop trying to convince about the "higher power" and I practice what I preach.

But on the same note, you cannot prove the existence of God. Both viewpoints, in the respect that they cannot be scientifically proven, require some degree of faith.

When you can write a question/post that even sounds intelligent, then you may tell us where to go. Though we may still use our freedom to not take you as the authority over Yahoo Answers.
