Very much so. At 12 months they have just learned to walk a small distance on their own. I would start to worry if the tripping was carried up to 18 month but for now just work with him/her strength and balance and make a fun game out of it.

My daughters babysitter also cares for a 14 month old. OMG...you should see how often he falls over. And on a hard wood floor. He just smiles and gets back up. Go get 'em!
It is normal. Does your child seem dizzy? does your child have a cold? Sometimes sinus problems can throw them off balance for a while.
My daughter seems to fall (while cruising) a lot right before naptime, so maybe time of day could be a factor, too?

At 14 months, this is a concern. It may be related to an equilibrium problem, originating in the inner ear. Test your child's hearing by givig them a fuzzy toy to distract them, wait for them to reach for it, and make a loud noise with a pot and pan behind them. If they are starled, they will not need to get a hearing test.

Of course! I have a two year old and he's still in the clumsy stage. Don't worry! Bumps and bruises are a big part of a toddler's life. This stage wont last long, enjoy it.

It would depend on how long you baby's been walking. If he or she was walking well and then seems to have lost a little bit of balance, then I would take her/him to the doctor to see if there is a problem with her/his inner ear.

I think it is. The baby's still learning to stand on his/her feet and walk.
