There is no need to immerse kitty in water. Try this towel method.
Get together two bath towels and prepare to keep one dry until kitty's bath is over.
Prepare the other by completely soaking in warmish soapy water (like the temp for a human baby or cooler).
Get kitty and yourself confined in an area like the bathroom then take the large wet soapy towel and grasp kitty - the weight of the towel will give you a tool of control so be prepared to use it gently.
Rub kitty thoroughly with the sloshy towel then let him go. Rinse the towel and rub kitty thoroughly again to remove soap. I suppose you could prepare a 3rd towel in advance to use for the rinse.
Once you're done use the dry towel to cuddle kitty to dryness.
Most veteran cat owners agree there is little need for a dunking or even a towel bath. Some overweight, elderly, sickly, newly found/lost kittens, etc. do need help sometimes.
Best wishes,
pup

Cleaning the cuts should be fine. That happens to me everytime I bathe mine!! But the second thing never happened! I would think that was enough. A small piece of advice...I used to bathe my cats, but got sick of getting cut and bitten, so now I just wet them with a cloth, while they stand there and shampoo them, and rinse them in the shower with the removable head. I find it much less stressful for me and the cats! Good Luck!

A) Unless you think there's a real reason to bathe the cats, don't do it. They do a pretty good job of cleaning themselves. The only good reason I can think off offhand would be something on their fur that will harm them when they lick it off, like pesticides, motor oil, etc. If they're just muddy, brush them off and let them deal with the rest.
As for the bites, clean them well, put an antibiotic like Neosporin on the wound, and call your doctor if you see swelling or redness near the site. If you develop long red lines in the limb, call the doctor or go to the ER at once - you have a systemic infection in your bloodstream.
2) that's enough.

no since you used bleach that should be enough bleach kills just about any and all germs...however, next time you have the thought to give your cats a bath just go to walmart or petsmart and they have moistened cloths that are similar to baby wipes but for cats only and use them instead of using the bathtub some cats just dont want to be in the water...he took a poop in there because he was so stressed

Why are you bathing your cats? Cats keep themselves clean. Save yourself and your cats a lot of stress and future biting sessions, don't bathe them in the future unless you NEED to..like they get into some nasty sticky, or oily stuff that they cannot get off themselves. I have been a cat owner for 35 years and only once had to bathe my cat (an old guy who could no longer clean himself)

if you tried to bathe all three together, bathe one at a time. you really don't have to dunk them completely. there is a dog foam bath i use it on my cats, too. all you have to do is spray the foam into the cat's fur. rub down to the skin -- my pets love it. they think your rubbing them. do your cats have shots, do keep an eye on your bites. i have a cat that will no.2 in the tub or right next to the litter box. she'll only go in the box if it is cleaned every day. so i have to remember to do that! maybe the one that does this is like mine. you can get this at wal-mart, k-mart, walgreen's,or pet store -- but it is more expense at a pet store. also i'm sure they have small muzzles for cats.

You're bound to get bitten by cats during their bath. They don't like it. If you want to prevent this, take them to a pet groomer and let them bath them. As long as your kitties have all their shots, you have nothing to be worried about. As far as your bathtub is concerned....bleach kills everything. It's safe to take a shower.

you in hardship-free words made my day! Hahahahahahaha! you're a unprecedented author. The scars throughout my body might want to inform you i'm the proud proprietor of a cat who has emerged triumphant on all my tries to bathe her. We by no skill even were given on the fringe of the tub with out me bleeding through one thousand wounds.

wait what is the actual problem here? are you wondering what do do about your bites (if your cats got shots they should be good but go to the doctor is it gets more serious) or how to clean the tub?
