i' ve had a boyfriend for almost 9 months now he's a good guy. my parents like him, but they dont know he's my boyfriend. they think he's just one of my friends. how do i tell them we're a couple. what if they dont want me dating him?
he's a good person and so am i but i dont know how tot tell them.
please help

Um if you are having problems talk to your mom first there a little more understanding and can tell you dad in a way that won't make him bounce of the walls and your mom will know when the time is right when you might say somthing at the wrong time.

You need to try to find out first of all how they feel about you dating. Then if they are okay with it you then proceed to tell them that you have thought about yours and his friendship and that you two have decided that you want to be more than friends. I use to hide a relationship from my parents and all it did was cause problems! What is the point of being in a reltionship if you have to hide it fromthe ones you love. Once your parents find out everything in the reltionship will be alot easier. Your parents will get to know him better because he will then be able to go out with you and your parents or come over for dinner. Just remember to first speak to them about their opinions of your dating and then go from there. Good luck. I am sure everything will work out since your parents do like him.

first it would probably be better to test them out... if you have a sibling have them bring up the question "mom what would you do if ______ had a bf?" if ure a single child it might be a little harder... but test them out if they are the super strict not until you are 18 type it probably would be better to wait until you are 18 1/2 and only then tell them you have been going out for abot 2 months.

does he really close to ur family? take him to a family party, or sumthn like that. than tell ur parents,,introduce him as ur mate. if they don't want u 2 b with him, tell them that u really serious. cause sooner or later they'll find out ur secret. but if they still dun wanna understand, just go 4 a backstreet! sometimes it really works..like i do! ^,^

Your parents arent as dumb as you think they are. They know and probably dont mind so much cause they would have said something by now if they did.

Tell them... have a mature talk about it. You'll have to tell them sooner or later.... you prolly should do it now... plus, what if they are over excited and stuff... you never know until you tell them.

If they met him and they thought he was a geat guy then tell them or ask them what they think of him and then just tell them.
