I broke my ankle on october 11th and had my cast put on october 16th. And i should be getting a walking cast on october 30th. My fiance is in the army and he is getting leave time from november 11th to the 24th.Anyways hes driving from texas to virginia and he wants me to fly out to texas and ride back with him. That would be a day in the plane and two maybe three days in a car. I dunno if i should do it because i don't know if it would be bad for my ankle and if i would be comfortable on a plane with a cast on since theres really not enough leg room on planes. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to do this or not. What do you think i should do?

Yes, you can fly on a plane with a walking cast. When I sprained my ankle and was put into an air cast (similar to a walking cast), they simply pat-searched me, dusted my shoes, and assisted me on the plane. There is no reason a temporarily disabled person should not be able to fly in a plane. I am sure the airline will accommodate your needs.

Better you travel with a cast on your ankle than to fly in a plane with a cast on it's landing gear. Go for it girl, and have a good trip---see you next "fall".

There is no reason you can't. I am sure there is plenty of room for a cast... if not I would think the airline has to make sure they put you where there is room.
