I do not under stand why atheists tend to group christians and people that don't believe in evolution together. The pope accepts evolution, and many great scientists of the past that have helped us shape our understanding of the world today have been christian... so I am confussed about this us vs. them mentality a lot of you have, and as for the question, which is a legitimate one. I believe the reason is to get spiteful answers so the high and mighty atheists can get a chuckle.

No offense - but the Christian's brought this on themselves when they started pushing for "intelligent design" in the science classroom. That's why the atheists bring it up because the Christians think "intelligent design" is science rather than faith or maybe that evolution is faith rather than science. You can't push religion in the science classroom and then turn around and abolish science from religion.

Evolution questions are very rare here and almost exclusively they are weak attacks by creationists based on falsehoods rather than serious questions. There is nothing that any religionists can contribute to our understanding of evolution.
