Perhaps they have just stopped distributing it in the area that you live. Companies will do that if the sales are not up to their expected level. It might be worth if you know the manufacturer writing to them and asking them about this. you will probably with a bit of research on the web get their postal address. Do not e-mail them but use snail mail, tell them how much you miss the bars, you never know, they might send you some free. This has worked for me before.

My guess is, they did it for the same reason a lot of "low-carb" stuff either went off the market entirely or just went regional....
Taste. Not that all low-carb stuff tastes bad mind you, but a lot of folks really *insist* on foods being sweet, and low-carb stuff either doesn't deliver on that, or if it does, it comes with its own problems (artificial sweetner taste, gas/cramps from using glycerine/sorbitol/xylitol, lactose/fructose intolerance of "no added sugar" products).
And honestly....there was a glut. There really *was* way too much low-carb crap floating around there, at one point there were "health bars" and "energy bars" taking up half an aisle at one of my neighborhood drugstores, some *dozen* or so different name brands all hyping the same 3-6 mediocre flavors.
So yeah....sorry to let you down there, but it happens. You might want to try looking up their website for more info though, just to see if they are *gone entirely* or just gone regional (maybe you can still get them in Texas...or by mail order elsewhere).
Have a good one! :)

Because the very name of the bar became "unfashionable" - Just look at what they re-named the MARATHON BAR - SNICKERS??
(Or am I mixing this name up with something else?)

They still made them 2 months ago I am certain. We stocked them where I used to work (Booker Cash & Carry).
If they have stopped making the it must have been very recently.
