Nelson Mandela was in jail for 27 years for something he believed in. I bow before a man that can endure that. He could have been released earlier but refused to compromise his ideals. When you say you will never forgive him because u lost family , i think to myself. So what! That may sound harsh, But no doubt the reason your family were in South Africa in the first place was to get rich quick off the backs of the indigenous population. Simply by living under such a regime says to me they got no less than they deserved. In my opinion, if you were white and supporting such a regime that Mandela was fighting against you sure as hell were not innocent.

People seem to forget the reason he was jailed in the first place! Yes he was a 'freedom' fighter but he also advocated many deaths of innocent whites! Apparantly he has forgiven his captor's, Well those of us who lost family members because of his violent actions will Never forgive Him! And it makes me sick to see him swaning around the world like he owns it. It appears that the history books have left a lot of what went on out.......it can only explain how people could ever see this man as a man of peace!

Most of the world sees him as a freedom fighter, political detainee
elder statesman, former President.
Few remember that his political beginnings were grounded in
socialism, and that he advocated violent overthrow of the
Apartheid Government of South Africa.
