Doesnt this mean that he is not perfect. Jealousy breeds contempt and contempt breeds anger and we all know that God gets angry. It says so in the Bible. If he can get angry and mad at us and punish his followers and tell them too kill their enemies (Old testament) send down his angels to wipe out cities, cause floods to destroy those whom dont believe in him does this mean he is as flawed as us. These all sound like human emotions too me and he has said that we shouldnt have these emotions. We should forgive and turn the other cheek but it seems that when it comes to him these rules do not apply. Perhaps these are clever constructs of Lucifer to try and destroy the faithful and ruin the belief system. I dont know but if anyone does please let me know. Please no long sermons you dont need to write the bible for me i have one on my desk thanks. Anyone know?

If indeed jealousy is a part of God, then the only person he can be jealous with is Himself. Aint that a pleasant disposition.

Assuming God = Creator and he created everythging in the world including the dualities. eg. Happines-Sadness, War-Peace, Fury-Calmness.

The imperfection in Creation too are created perfect. If something was cretaed it means that it will be destroyed. What is real is what is evrlasting and something that doesnt have a birth date or an expiry date.

The unmanifest creation is the real state and is the final resting place. And only existence is. That is God!

Many people look at small parts of things and in there minds thaey think they see the big picture. The Bible has many books and there is reason for all of them. Jealousy is not a charachter flaw. If you wish to know God he is available to you. If you seek him you will find him so go ahead and pick that Bible up and read it. Pray and you will be devloping a personal relationship with God. It is a fantastic experience but no man can reveal God to you. It is up to you to come to know him for yourself. Empty out all your negative preconcieved notions about god and come to know him for yourself. Know this thet He was trotured and died so that you could be wiht him forever. While God is righteous and his righteousness demands perfection he has provided that atonement for you and it is free.

God is not jealous. Because of human experience, God knows what jealousy IS but, jealousy is an attribute of human nature.

You can't believe everything, just because someone else's belief tells you too. You have free will, take advantage of it. Research and read, read, READ. Add a dose of your own personal experience and formulate an answer for yourself.

God admits to being a jealous God. When someone denies what they are, then they become imperfect. He is our Almigihty Creator, and has the right to call all of the shots. He is greater than we are and always will be. Praise the Lord.

Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

Since The Almighty God was the one who created everything and everyone, it stands to reason that people should not serve anyone but Him.

when you were a child did your parents ever tell you not to do something then turn right around and do it them selves?
a do as i say not as i do kind of thing?
it seems god does and says the same thing.
it didn't work for our parents so why should it work for god?
but what you say makes sense. if we are made in the image of god and we are flawed the it stands to reason that god himself is flawed.

You are saying that our human emotions are the equal of and the same as God's. Human jealousy is wrong in that it stems from our belief that we are more important or better than someone else, God is better and therefore His jealousy is for our good, as apart from Him we are but dust.

Genesis 18:25
Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

I'm actually very comfortable with belonging to a jealous God. If He's going to be the One taking care of me, He certainly has a right to refuse to share me with other gods/idols.
