You should give your son more time; all babies walk when they're ready (unless there is an undetected problem). My son started walking at 10 months and his cousin (who is exactly 2 wks younger, both were planned c-sections) didn't start walking until 7 months after his 1st birthday. They were around each other all of the time, and he would just watch my little boy running around, and one day he just got up and went. Since he's already taking steps, he'll most likely start walking soon. If he doesn't start walking within a few months, I would suggest seeing a specialist just to make sure everything's okay. (And if you feel he needs to see a specialist, don't let your doctor talk you out of it. My older son was disabled, and his 1st pediatrician didn't want me to take him to specialists, but he required care that a pcp doesn't necessarily have the proper training for. My son had an ENT, GI, Neurosurgeon, Neurologist, PT, OT, and several others. They are specialists because they SPECIALIZE in fields that PCPs and pediatricians aren't completely schooled in. A good pediatrician knows this and recommends a specialist for something that they aren't qualified to handle. However, I am not saying that you cannot or should not get a second opinion before surgery. And I'm not sure, but I think he would need to see a podiatrist or something for his foot; I'm pretty sure chiropractors are back specialists)

Sometimes babies who do not walk as fast as others have hidden gifts and talents. I did not walk by myself until 18 months, and my talents lie mostly in creative writing and musical pursuits. If your child's legs are the same length, I would wait a couple of more months and see if this corrects itself. By 18 or 19 months I would recommend you check with another doctor to be safe.

my son only started walking at 14 months. maybe he is just lazy to walk or maybe in the past he tried and had a bad fall/scare or just scared to walk.

Perhaps you should speak with his pediatrician. If he feels necessary he will arrange for your son to see a physical therapist for an evaluation.
