i have come to know that most of the genius were not taught in schools or colleges.either by chance or by choice they did not attend the regular schools or colleges.most of them were self taught. does this mean that academic studies destroy the inherent genius of children?

If you are a genius, you are self-made. For those of us who aren't, we are at the whim of the mother of all money makers...the educational system.

They teach you the genius of one person that makes a giant leap in advancement.

What they dont show you is the incremental steps made by countless people. I would suppose that those "self-taught" people read books that were written by people that went to college.

I would say look on the other side and see what the majority of people that didn't do well in school are doing now.

Perhaps you should explore an 'academic' education as this questions is both illogical and the sentence structure is just SO bad. Eesh... my guess is most of these geniuses you loosely refer to... skipped out of school by acceleration not omission.

And unless most of the population of children are inherently geniuses at birth, I think more remedials are helped then geniuses hurt. Shouldn't you be grateful then?

Academic studies enhance genius. Law, medicine, physics, chemistry etc etc, are all too complex for any individual to know by skipping school and figuring it out for themselves. Who exactly are you thinking of when you say the genius were NOT taught in school ? Who knows biology or astronomy or whatever that skipped teachers and figured it all out on their own? Names please ?

the point of schools until collage is to teach kids to follow directions. so yes, school is pointless. they teach you the same thing every year. i know for a fact that 3rd grade, 6th grade, and high schol are all learning the same thing. once you get to collage, you learn new things to help with your choosen carrer.
