In South Dakota, they run anywhere from $1500 to $3000.
It sucks not to have insurance. I'm working 2 jobs & neither offers insurance.

Depending on the length of the scan, the MRIs cost $2,000 - $4,000 in MRI time alone, not accounting for the time of the various technicians and doctors also involved.

Before you have the test, shop around. Ask the MRI people to at least give you the same rates they have for Medicaid, Medicare or Blue Cross. Otherwise, you'll be the only one paying top dollar.

Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of around $200. Not including fees for the referring doctor.
