No vonage isn't the answer

I live in old bridge new jersey, dont get vonage, they erased my original home phone number which I have had for 16 years. Get sunrocket, it is much cheaper and efficient and has some more pros
-$3.00 a month for free international call, which is about 40 min.
-free calls all over the United States and Canada
-About $16 a month, so about $50 a less per year then vonage
the phone quality is just great
go to http://www.sunrocket.com
give the best answer if you like this please try this phone company and if anything goes wrong they replace it
but you have to have high speed internet

Actually, you have asked two seperate questions...And yet perhaps just one in reality. Apparently, you have tried VOIP with Qwest. In all cases where VOIP, etc are needed, you need to realize that form follows function. List the needs you have from #1-X and then go about comparing all other VOIP providers. Vonage currently allows for the use of your own homephone. Which is a great advantage. So, do your homework and make the executive decision for yourself. While I might think Vonage is better than most, the areas I want and need for a VOIP provider might just be a bit different than your needs and wants...let alone the Quality of the product (software, etc..).

I got rid of SBC (now AT&T) and switched to MCI. I am very happy with MCI.

I was wary of switching to VOIP due to reliability issues.
I didn't go cell only because my job pays for my cell and I job hop.
