Hmmmmm......my first hunch would be to contact the US Embassy office and find out what lady USSR needs as far as legal paperwork to fly to New Orleans.
Ah, then there's the $$$$ issue. And I bet anything lady USSR laments she and family simply do NOT make much of any money for an airline ticket---and she's seeking YOU to wire her the $$$$. This is where my scam radar lights up; not meaning to rain on your parade.
It's nothing personal, but you got to understand Russia is all but FLAT BROKE, and US guys (and girls, too) look pretty dam good right now in their eyes. Hasten common sense/good judgement at this stage of your relationship w/ this woman.
I've seen way too many mail order bride romances BUST up into dispair for the lonely who spent the $$$$ bringing them into the US.
