Anything like a high fever while pregnant should be checked out by your doctor, at least a phonecall.

You may be just fine, and just need to maintain your hydration. I don't want to give medical advice on what you should take, however. Your doc needs to determine that.

It is a little easier to get dehydrated from the fever at this time, which can cause premature labor.

As well, if you have felt any leaking or you think that you are urinating on yourself, then it could really be a leaking bag of water, which after 24 hours can get infected causing fever (since I don't know any other symptoms, just kind of pointing this out).

Baby may get an increased heart rate and get a little stressed if the fever is bad enough. If labor happens when the baby is already stressed some it cause cause issues with the baby getting oxygen from you.

I don't want you to get too alarmed, it may be nothing. But I want you to be alarmed enough to contact your doctor for the health of you and your baby. Call your doctors exchange today.

Don't let your body temperature go over 102 degrees Fahrenheit. That is very dangerous for the baby. Take 2 extra-strength Tylenol and wait a couple of hours. If it won't go down, call your doctor. Good luck! :)

I was told that it was dangerous for the baby if your fever got above 102 degrees. I was sick when i was in the beginning of my 2nd tri. I was told to take Tylenol to bring down the temp and if that didn't work i was to go to see the Dr. as soon as possible.
