It is very good to get off of caffein. It causes many problems. Caffein raises stress levels which cause cortisol overload - making you gain weight in your belly.
Caffein can mess up your blood sugar levels and cause unnessary food cravings - resulting in weight gain.
Caffein also can wear out your adrenal glands causing you to be tired alot and worn down.
Coffee and cola are acidic and could cause problem with your digestive track - whether the coffee or cola is caffeinated or not.
You may have head aches for 2 or 3 days - headaches could last all day long. Just take some ibuprophen to get through it - and you will be fine and have more energy in no time.

I used to drink cold cappacino's like they were going out of style. And my share of sodas. When I would forget or stop for one day, I would get the-'caffine withdrawl headaches', that everyone gets. And my digestive tract was messed up. But when I had fasted to reset my body I noticed that I didn't get these 'headaches' common with this problem. Now I enjoy a cold cappacino in a rare occasion, without the problems.

Depends on what kind of cola drinks. If they were sugared sodas, then the removal of all that sugar may cause you to be slightly constipated.
The caffeine withdrawal symptoms include headache, possible migraine, sluggish thinking, and a slight decrease in appetite.
The POSITIVE effects of removing caffeine from your diet include more calcium absorption, less tooth decay from the sugar, better response to stress, weight loss (less sugar calories) and better ability to relax and sleep

Not to the point where you can't recover. Try drinking cranberry juice: That has a lot of stuff in it that's good for your digestive system. I even read an article a few days ago that suggests cranberry juice might be good against e. coli- the vicious strain, that is.

it will take time for your body to adjust to not having the products that is was accustomed to getting.
headaches, cramps, etc can be side effects. they will go away within a week or two.
good for you....I personally removed myself from caffeine a few years ago and feel so much better, think more clearly, and way less high strung that I use to be, etc.

Drink alot of water, that will help. You got addicted to caffine, and because your not getting that, your body is reacting like it is.
My wife likes pop alot, and if she don't get caffine she gets headaches, but drink alot of water, it helps to not get the headaches and cleans out your system.

cola is disgusting, but coffee is not terribly bad for one or two cups a day. try gradually cutting back everyday in portions

I am not sure about your digestive track but you may loose weight. I "heard" that if you cut one pop a day you can loose a pound a day
