what is it with men and the your not doing that issue? even if your not with them, they dont like you going out and having any kind of life of your own. and why are they threatned when you try and better your education in the hope of having a betted kind of life?

ok people, i'm not talking about personal experience here i'm trying to prove a point to my mate who's currently suffering! i'e been telling her to leave him but she thinks its the norm, clearly no hope for her!

It's evolution. A guy's single goal in life is to father your kids. If you are out and about, that might happen with someone else. If you expand and grow yourself, you may outgrow him, plus you have more opportunities to meet other men.
It's sad but true. Us guys just put on a brave(r) face to one degree or another. A guy really needs to be secure and self-assured and trust you to not be concerned about those things.
It is not altogether negative, you certainly know the guy wants you.

well i guess the one(s) ur dealing with are control freaks. (same here so dont worry) he tells u what u can and cant do so that he can control u, hoping u dont find another boy better than him. (which u probably would, that's y he's doing that) he doesnt want u to try and get a better education so that he will feel smarter than u, then he can control u easier. im guessing he probably tells u ur stupid, or need to lose weight? something along those lines? neway, not all men are like that, and if u stay away from the ones who r known to be like that, then u will be a lot happier. just think about how much u would rather be single than with a controlling man

It's the old male ego trip which started with the earliest humonoids. Because of the females's natural smaller height, and baby caring/careing duties intense submissive inferior gender role was unneccessarly forced upon her,and carries on today.
It was this submissive role delegated to females by egologistal males that gave birth to Catholicism, Chirstainity, and it's treatment of women as inferiors until the 1900s.. This also later gave birth to Islam which holds women in bondage even today in most muslim countries.
Political ,commercial, apeasement and religion today still allows most of the 1 billion muslim women to be treated as mere male property. Even in modern democracies like Indroneasia, and to soem degree Malaysia, india, and Kuawii women are treated as less than equals.
In such Democratic countries as France and Germany Muslim Immigrants/citizens are butcherd by relatices when trying ot adjust to European citizenship or culture by getting an education, working outside the house, or marriage to germans or frenchmen. The reason muslims have their children mudered are for being too German or too French.

It's not men in general, it's just your boyfriend. If you had any sort of self esteem you would have walked away. It's not just his fault for being a jerk, it's your fault for accepting that treatment. What, exactly, do you want out of life? You have a handful of years on this planet, why are you accepting such a second rate existance?

Not all men try to possess you, thinking they are superior, and then tell you what to do or not do.
If this is the "manchild in your life...walk away. Have some respect for yourself. The guy is a moron.

Because they don't feel manly in this world full of bigger
men,so they try to dominate the females,and they will
tell you it's because they love you and are afraid that
you will leave them -thinking you are what they actually
believe all women are-",stupid",& that you'll believe that junk!
They think us females are dumb & will believe what they say
when we call them on their nasty behavior!
Go for the real men that they are soooooo jealous of,& you'll
find that this problem will quickly go away,& pronto!!!

its all down to the caveman thing, its their instinct to protect...basically all they are doing is looking out for your welfare and being normal for men really, they are also protecting their own interest too, they don't like other males intruding in their life with a female...its all instinct & something to appreciate actually...what would happen if you were in trouble and the man in your life said "hey" your independant & know how to look after yourself "why" ask ME...figures doesn't it

a lot of men still think that we are in that time period where women do as they tell us to do. they think that just because we are females that we have no say to what we can and cannot do and we cant be independent, but a lot of us have proved them wrong.
