being a former athlete I am quite embareassed to even have to ask... but here I am asking. For years I have been unable to work out due to injury and laziness... (let's be honest) and finally I have decided to do something about it. My choices of excersize were limited due to Plantars fasciatis... my Dr. told me Spin class... so I did it. I went for the first time yesterday for an hour class and today well... the pain is primarily the Quads very little pain in the calves... just like massive strains on the muscles... do I go ahed and spin or cycle lightly today or break today and hit again Sunday... so the question is how do I ease the pain whether it is stretching or medicine and do I hit the gym again today or wait til Mon.

wait a day and recover, ur body will get use to the work and soon u can do it everyday, spinning is more cardio than anything so u can do it 5 r 6 days a week once ur body adapts, every other day shud work good for you, do it like this for 2 weeks and then do it 4 days on 2 days off then 5 days on 2 days off listen to ur body also, the science is the same across the board for everybody but how u apply the science of exercise to the indivisual is the art behind it, the ability to apply the science to the person is the difference between a good trainer and a not so good one, so keep this in mind when trainer yourself and u shud do fine, and take doctors advice with a grain of salt when it comes to fitness i have found that their knowledge is limited when it comes to training

Make sure you stretch and warm your muscles before you begin. Don't overdo, build up gradually. Do it alternate days and between days do your gym workout. Doing it every day will just get your body in a rut. Alternating the routines keeps your body "interested".
