I know the answer to that. I saved a life when I was sure that I would die if I tried. I just couldn't stand there and do nothing, just watch him die. The moment I was certain that HE was going to die, I had peace that I had never experienced before. Is this because my thoughts had been completely diverted away from myself and to someone else? Anyway, there are things that I consider more worthwhile to die for.

My son, for sure. I tell myself that I would die for some wild romantic interlude with someone very special, but that is not logical or practical. It is however, what echos from the depths of my desire. I would also die to save a fellow human's life.

There're specified things that I would die for,

FIRST OF ALL being my religion, I would die to defend my religion.

My home land comes next, I can offer my life to defend my land if there's some danger threaten it.

Then comes my family, my self, my possessions (belongings).
