1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Spritual authority is that the man is the head of the woman.
1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
Tit 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Tit 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
A woman cannot be the husband of one wife.

The reason why Paul said for women not to speak in the church was because there were women who sometimes didn't understand what was being said by the minister of the congregation. They would interrupt and yell across the room to their husbands asking them to explain(women would be on one side and men on the other-this was the custom and still is in some synagogues and Churches). But this does not imply that God does not call women to preach. Some of the most successful preachers of our time are women. Crouch, White, Bynum, Copeland, Hickey,Meyer, BAM Crawford(LA),
Scott, ..... So you want Bible? Well the first person to ever proclaim the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was a W O M A N!!!!!
Matthew 28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
In this verse the women receive the commission from the Angel.
Mark 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
Here Jesus upbraids the disciples for not have believed those who had seen Him, namely the women for sone. They had proclaimed and testified to the Resurrection.
In John 20:17-18 Mary sees Jesus and He commissions her to go tell his brethren. In the 18th verse she proclaims the Resurrection to the desciples.
Hope this enough scripture for you, otherwise email me.

Let me get this straight, you read in the bible 'no', but you want people to tell you where in the bible it says 'yes'? And yet you don't consider the bible to contradict itself? If you're going to follow a religion then you can't just manipulate it to say whatever you want. If the bible says women shouldn't preach, then it would be hypocritical for a woman to stand in front of a church and preach from the bible.

The real issue is headship. A woman should not be an Apostle or Pastor. But evangelist, teacher, deacon, prophet, all of these have examples in the bible, but the issue is headship or authority of men in the church.. To preach in the pulpit is something that I allow and know many women that are very annointed to preach. I can not put all the scriptures here..
Daughters of Philip were profetess. Women are commanded to not have authority over men in several places. Women can always teach women, the older women are commanded to teach the younger..

I don't need bible verses to back up the fact that a woman has the same right to preach as a man. Today, women are allowed to do everything a man does, except walk around topless, which I think is sex discrimination, but this is another subject altogether.

God's Word tells us that a woman can not qualify to be a preacher. 1 Timothy 3: 1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. (a Man) 1 Timothy 3: 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; (one wife) 1 Timothy 3: 4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (his) 1 Timothy 3: 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) (a Man) 1 Timothy 3: 6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. (he) 1 Timothy 3: 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. (he) 1 Timothy 3: 11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. (their wives)

I understand you would like bible verses to back up a Yes answer, but don't you think you should give us a bible verse that backs the No you've read?

Off hand I do not remember the exact scripture verses but women as well as men are called to preach. It is the Spirit that gives as He sees fit and not "women keep silence in the Church", that determines this. God is no respector of persons and there were women prophets mentioned. in ACts.

All the biblical references were edited out long ago. Mary of Magdelene was slandered so as not to have appeared as one of the church leaders and the first to see the resurrection of christ. In the gnostic version she is the head of the church.
