I have what you would call a ghetto booty, but so does my mom, grandma, aunt, and relatives. Generally the shape of your figure is determined by your heredity. You cant have what GOD didn't give you. What I can suggest is doing squats to lift it, that sometimes makes it looks larger. But no matter how thin I get, my butt always stands out, and when I gain weight, it gets HUGE. I am naturally a size 2, but have to buy a size 5 pants because my butt is big and hips are wide. If you don't have the hips, GHETTO BOOTY is probably not in your genes. Just be happy with what you have...as long as it isn't flat and nasty looking....and your waist is small....you should be content. Do Pilates, and squats. It will shape your figure in a way that is appealing....and you only need a little butt to pull off a voluptuous figure. It is all in how you work what you got....although I wouldn't trade my booty in for the world! (smile)

Firstly, we all have different body shapes but that's not to say we can't work on them.
The best thing is diet and exercise.
When I mean diet, I don't mean starvation. I mean -- changing your eating habits.
If you are overweight, you need to increase your physical energy(exercise) and decrease your energy input(cut down on sugary, fast foods, high carbs, fat, etc).
It dosn't mean you have to go without your treats from time to time.
Speak to a dietician or borrow some books from your local library.
Try to cut back on fast-foods, high carbs and sugary drinks, carbonated drinks, coke-cola, etc.
Eat plenty of fish,protein-packed foods, tuna, low fat meats, chicken, etc.
Now, for the exercise. The best thing I have ever done for my bum is walking - walking, walking and walking - esp. up steep hills. I walk for about an hour or so - and do steep hills.
Over six months,I noticed an improvement. My muscles tightened and improved the look of my bottom.
I don't think we can change the shape, but we can tighten up the muscles a great deal.
I don't believe in going to gyms(it is a waste of money).
Walking, light jogging and cycling are all very good for your body.
Oh and some light weights - excellent.

Remember, developing a good figure, (toned. etc) dosnt' happen overnight. You have to work at it and it can take months or years.
Persistance is the key and enjoy what you are doing.
Taking up some tennis also helps improve your physical fitness.
Try modifying your diet for life. Don't starve yourself but try to get foods from the five food groups in moderation.

If you have a big booty, then you got a ghetto booty. I have a big booty while my mixed friend doesnt and she hates me for it. lol
Squats and sit on it a lot (thats how I got to where I am today)

Eat bananas lol no in all seriousness there are exercises you can do to increse the size of your rear end. Try going to a gym and seeing a personal trainer, they can assist you in what you should do exactly to get there. If all else fails, you can always resort to plastic surgery, but I don't recommend that. You should be happy with your body and not try to change it, because you may not be happy with the results in the end.

It really depends on where your body retains those empty calories. If your butt gets fat first, then you should eat lots of junk that makes you gain weight and you'll get it there. If your stomache or something else gets fat first, then you'll just get a big tummy and not an ***.

Eat lots, and lots of soul-food. For example grits, cornbread, ham-hocks and beans, water melon, collard greens, pigs feet, ribs, etc. You should develop a big-ol-ghetto-booty in no time.
