The Truth About Muhammad
by Robert Spencer
Meet the real Muhammad:
Muhammad's bizarre reaction to his first "revelation": "I will go to the top of the mountain and throw myself down that I may kill myself"
The heretical Christian who convinced Muhammad he was a prophet – and may have taught him his erroneous views of Christianity
Islamic borrowings from Judaism, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism – and Muhammad's enraged replies to charges that he borrowed material rather than received actual divine revelations
The "revelation" that allowed Muhammad to marry his beautiful daughter-in-law
The strange incident in Muhammad's life that makes it virtually impossible to prove rape in Islamic countries today
The real "Satanic Verses" incident (not the Salman Rushdie version): how Muhammad's attempt to win over his opponents ended with his saying he had been inspired not by God, but by Satan
How the Qur'an's teaching on warfare against unbelievers developed – with constant war to establish the hegemony of Islamic law as the last stage
The first year of the Muslim calendar: not when Muhammad was born or became a prophet, but when he became a warlord
How Muhammad used the graphic lure of Islamic Paradise to urge his warriors to fight furiously to extend his rule
"Kill every Jew who comes into your power": why Muhammad became so angry with both Jews and Christians – with disastrous consequences that are still playing out in the world today
The momentous command by Muhammad that led to good being identified with anything that benefited the Muslims, and evil with anything that harmed them --without reference to any larger moral standard
Muhammad's child bride – and the terrible consequences his marriage to a nine-year-old still has in the Islamic world
"This is the caravan of the Quraysh possessing wealth. It is likely that Allah may give it to you as booty": how Muhammad gave divine sanction to the Muslims' bloody raids
"War is deceit": the permission Muhammad gave his followers to lie in order to gain an advantage over their enemies
How Muhammad broke the principal treaty he entered into, again setting a pattern for Muslim states thereafter
Muhammad's commands to his followers to wage perpetual war against non-Muslims, including Jews and Christians
Muhammad on women's rights: women "are prisoners with you having no control of their persons"
"If justice is not to be found with me then where will you find it?" Why Muhammad still stands for Muslims as the supreme model for human behavior
"I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, and will not leave any but Muslims" – and other statements by Muhammad that contemporary jihadists take very seriously
Islamic tolerance? The onerous tax burden and other discriminatory regulations mandated for non-Muslims under Islamic law
How Muhammad ordered the killing of apostates from Islam
The massacre of a Jewish tribe by Muhammad that was invoked by modern-day jihadists at the beginning of Israel's July 2006 operations against Hizballah in Lebanon
"Embrace Islam, and your lives and property will be safe": Muhammad's threatening letters to the rulers of the lands around Arabia
Muhammad's frequent avowals that the Muslims would overcome the empires bordering on Arabia and one day stand as masters of the world
"I have been made victorious with terror" – and other statements of Muhammad on his deathbed
Six steps that American leaders can and must take in order to protect our nation from Islamic jihad terrorism

if salvation is following a gaggle of guy made rules, count huge type me out if I, being deluded and non secular and brainwashed, tell others they're lost, do I no longer want salvation myself? freedom isn't subjecting your self to authoritarian dogmas and persons a great learn..."the Guru Papers" essays on authoritarianism I enjoyed the financial disaster on "the Divided Self" how human beings (while 'stored') fairly possibly create a schism interior the recommendations and develope an regulate ego and a 'new me' vs the 'previous me' and alter into skitzo

Yes, as promised by God, those by believe in Him and FOLLOW Him are promised eternal life in heaven.
However, the rest of your statement chalks up religion to a bunch of hocus-pocus and intolerance, which I couldn't disagree with more.
The Catholic Church stands for and defends the rights of all people. It is our duty as Christians to learn about God and develope the gifts and talents He gave us to the best of our ability with the help of God. That means progressing in life, taking care of our families, working hard and loving our neighbor, getting an education and doing well at our jobs. This is what stewardship means: take care of what God has given you.
We look to God for strength because He is infinately more powerful than we are, and we do not have the strength to tackle all of life's problems on our own. Yes, the Church teaches faith healings, exorcisms and miracles for a very simple reason: because if you believe in God, then you instantly believe in the spirit realm, the good side and the bad. Therefore, it is perfectly within logic and reason to teach exorcism, miracles and healings, because we are then dealing with things on the supernatural level.
The Church respects the rights of all people - men, women and children, and fiercely defends them. It is against God to mistreat women.
What's wrong with piety? What's wrong with looking to God's grace to achieve holiness? Wouldn't the world be a better place?
What's wrong with obedience to God Who's will is peace and joy for everyone, Who is life? By relying on God, I actually achieve true freedom because I do not have to carry the burden of everything in this life all on my own. It simply isn't possible. Fear and trembling? Would you not tremble in the face of the One Who has the power to bless or destroy your soul out of sheer reverence? Would you then, not have courage knowing that this same One has to power to help you achieve anything in His Name, that nothing can stand in your way?
God bless.

Only those who come to God in The Way He proscribes and receive His free gift of Salvation will enter Heaven... irregardless of whatever man invented "doctrin" "dogma" "faith" they may or may not "religiously" "believe" or "follow".
God makes the rules... follow God's rules or suffer the concequences...
All science is from God... thus all science is good... but man, on his own, can not use God's science to its full potential...thus all of the polution of this earth caused by man... unless God's rules are followed man will never "solve" the problems mankind has caused in this world....

I think humans have done well solving the problems and creating a better future. We no longer worry about natural disasters, wars, hunger or sickness. We have done a very good job own our own, I think.

"Fear Not !" is what the bible says, when Agels announced the coming of the Lord,
"...the people in whose heart is God's law, are not to fear the reproach of men (people), neither be afraid of their revilings!" We are comforted and we are to have courage, and not be trembling or afraid of either God or any humans. (When you see "fear-of-the-lord" it is Old-English language, meaning respect, not being afraid.)
And "unto Caesar's things that are Caesar's..." -- in context means that we are still supposed to pay tax and generally respect government whose intentions are the well being of our nation and ourselves, but spiritual things, we shouldn't give our soul and spirit to the government bureaucrats, deep down they really don't care about our feelings, and that way there is room for intelligent questioning whether our government really does have our well being in mind. Its a kind of "separation of state and religion" recommended by the Lord himself. Anyway, we should take care of our own spiritual stuff and not rely on government for that...and women obeying their husbands, is only half of the equation, husbands are required to honour and love the woman and be concerned with her wellbeing and care for her as his own self, so its a two-way street for a healthy caring relationship. Its not smart to take it out of context and misunderstand it or misuse it, you are right, it would be tyrrannical if it were as you stated in your question.
Its done too much by some people on both sides, religious and nonreligious. It takes smarts to read it properly and understand it.
Further, if people have their code of ethics and principles that lead to peace and well being, why not get with that system? We can be self-reliant, and self-regulating, and have liberty to live more freely. Governments won't have to try as hard to regulate us as otherwise, with rules and regulations and control (questionable people and their egos and mischief controlling people instead of a set of morals controlling people), its like a choice between George Orwell 1984 instead of a concerned but still loving & compassionate spiritual Guardian of our souls. I'd rather have the latter. Oh, and the bible doesn't say to be ignorant of science, technology, wisdom, knowledge. and the like... rather, we should embrace it and pursue wisdom and knowledge etc...
AND to answer your leading question, Christians don't have to try to achieve immortality, that just happens by our faith and God's will. Its nobody's business. Its a gift from God. And we like to share it if you want it. You can be welcome to it too if you choose someday. You're smart to investigate and learn and enjoy it too.
If you want to consider the same question with only science, you can get deep into the study of particle physics. Scientists generally say "Matter cannot be created or destroyed, it just changes form". Energy can be changed into creation of matter as we know it, and conversely, Matter can be changed into energy; and energy and matter can and does co-exist, and work together too (example excitement in a person or electricity in wires...). There are phyisics-forces happening at every moment, beyond what people think about directly, but it still happens. Thankfully, the vast majority of people don't have to get into the the details of how electrons move around wires and silicon chips and we don't have to do the programming and worry about syntax errors in lines of programming and so on, in order to use the computer or internet, and we don't have to think of how to digest foods in order to do it. People can expect or trust that it will. Its that exactly that people of faith. We're supposed to do what is right and good, and work with the system instead of wrecking it or trying to re-invent it. What do you want involved in your life, what do you want to head into, nothing much and then just rotting or join some anti-matter and get wiped out or changed into whatever little stihk that becomes, or joining the positive energy that gets everywhere and lasts forever and can ultimately become something physical and substantial and intelligent again.
You asked a very good question, Thank You for it. Watch out for those who are unconditionally ignorant of what is really in the bible, or who take things out of context and misuse it. Do the smart thing. Don't be a drone or puppet. Ignore the ignorant and cruel. Keep on questioning, never settle for ignorance, keep on learning.
