6. Correct Language- Use correct pronounds, verbs, and such.
7. Topic Sentence- Always type present!

Never use you. For exampple: When you get your report card, you have a mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness. (Not everyone gets a report card)
Also don't use contractions, or The word "thing" (it is a useless word that can mean anything.) or "a lot" use more descriptive words

Then you have to come up with 3 main points that support your argument.
Then, come up with points that support each of those 3 main points.
Then this is the basic format:
Introduction [includes your thesis and a listing of your 3 main points]
