Why is it that if we have a female in or division, you would'nt look at them twice while @ home, but when were deployed they look like Cindy Croffered?

Well, you've gotten a lot of responses that cover the whole desperate times/deprivation thing. One other possibility, though.

If she does her job well, and you like and respect her, maybe you see her differently as a result. People don't have to be supermodels to be beautiful to those who care about them.

Probably because of the IDIOTIC order that the U.S. military has against men getting serviced on occasion. As bad as Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos were, we never had that bullshit to contend with. Also this has driven more incidents of sexual harassment and assaults there, i am sure. A man needs a cold beer and a hot woman to let loose once in awhile. It is what it is!
