I believe a lot of them have studied the Bible very thoroughly and down deep they want to believe but there is that one little thing that is keeping them from believing. That is why a lot of them are so angry, they don't want to admit the fact they are wrong. I also think it is also that it is hard to believe something you can't see, hard to have Faith in someone you can't see, can't PROVE exists.

As an agnostic, I am not at envious or seeking to be a believer. I think those who claim to know God through faith are actually confusing knowledge with desire. Personally, I don't think the answers to existential question matter all that much, as the answer would not change the way things are now. Instead finding faith-based virtue in irrationality, I've concluded that we don't have any way of knowing if there is a god, much less his tratis and intentions.

what do you know?
God is not about knowing it is about feeling... A child feels, there for most of them have no fear... without realizing or knowing God, or belonging to any religion.
Christianity, as most other religions are very physical, based on manipulation of emotions. The most biblical stories you can find in the old legends, myths of the ancient world... The rituals are same, everywhere to find in ancient cultures. Whose time goes far beyond the biblical. In Vatican you will find probably world's largest library with books about magic&Co... They did not burn them, as some of their owners.
Those modern religions are a mix of ancient rel. and beliefs. You know that tiara that the pope is carrying?...it is an exact copy of the hat of Buddhist llamas, so are the "accessories" of the priests, their dresses, the colors of it, the arrangement of the altar, and of the buildings even. The whole system of the church, of monastery, monks and nuns... everything came not with Christianity, it was collected from others and put in one big pot, with Christianity written on it. In deed you are a pagan.
Religions are not about God, they never were. They let you feel special, not like those others. They give you the right to judge. They make you feel you are right. God does all this things not. It is not God who makes you feel there is a right and a wrong way, it is your religion.
And those who will call me blasphemer... well, might we met in your hell.

You don't have to believe in God to know in order to be happy you don't need wealth, fame or material things. I am not a religious person and in no way am I a materialistic person. Perhaps, you sir need to be show the way. Your statement was rather narrow minded.

I only get angry at blasphemy. Toward atheists or nonbelievers who are searching, I don't get angry. Perhaps one day I will no longer be angered by blasphemous remarks--but today is not that day.
Trying to show someone the Way is hard, because there is only one Way, and people have heard it so many times. It is not for lack of the Way (that is, Christ) being pointed out to people that they do not believe. And--despite popular opinion--it is not the behavior of Christians that causes them to have or not to have faith. What it is, is that God has not called them. In the Gospel of John, Jesus says, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him" (6:44). We are powerless to convert other people. We can only point out the Way. The Way is through Christ, not through words, not through actions. Only God the Father can give a person the gift of faith and the knowledge of his Son.
So your exhortations that people show others the way seem to be forgetting this crucial, lone fact.
We are messengers only, not models...no matter how much we might wish to believe otherwise. Only God has the power of God. Humans have no power over human souls.

If not wealth or fame or material things, then what, it means not even the church acquirers wealth, does it not say in the bible to acquirer wealth. What you wrote is untrue, when your sick you turn to Jesus and say heal me or you say Jesus help me find a doctor that will heal me, take the test, sell all your material things, give all your money to a homeless person and take your families and live on the street and no begging for food and no accepting donations of food shelter clothing or money, say Jesus feed me and he will say fool I told you to acquirer wealth. But then again I just told you that.

If so, they sure have an indirect way of getting to the truth. They would be better off just to read the gospel of John.
If they really wanted evidence, they could find it - but most do not look. There is plenty of evidence for creation and a Creator as well as for the divinity of Jesus.

Do us a favor and don't try to make up a reason for why we're here. I'm here because theists seem to love to spread around a lot of deliberate misinformation about sceince, atheists, and members of non-Christian religions. Since I am somewhat knowledgable in those things, I am here to clear these errors up.
I have little use for a book written by bronze-age nomads.

I think that atheists or non believers are better off than the "believers".Just because they don;t believe in god doesnt mean that they are looking for weath, fame or material gain.I dont believe in god, but i am a very spiritual person. I believe in honesty, integrity and doing the right thing.I believe in standing up for wat u believe in and i dont need "GOD" to tell me the difference between right and wrong. I search my own soul for the answers.

I was raised a Christian before I became an atheist. I know what it is you feel and believe. I come here only to get an insight into human nature. This has been a very educational experience.
