My daughter has a birthmark on her face about the size of your finger tip...

I don't want her having removal surgery yet she is too young but I was thinking of buying some skin lighting cream to make it not so noticable ........

Will it work and if so where can I buy it and what would its name be??

I have no problems with the birthmark ....

An old lady said to me when she was born it was god giving her a kiss good bye......

How beautiful is that

Other children have noticed now and she is getting really self concious of it

omg, same here! i have a birthmark on my face too. it's like twice as big though. just let her get bangs that's what i did. if she has light skin tone, then just do the bangs trick. but if she has dark skin tone, just leave it, that's what i do too. cause then as she grows up, the birthmark stretches and gets lighter..so..yeah, it's gonna be barely visible if she has dark skin tone when she grows up.

My mam was born with a birthmark that covered half of her face, she is now 82 years old and she has never let it bother her when we have asked her in the past why she never had it removed she said it never hindered her while she was growing up and that she married the best looking fella in town, which she did.So let your daughter decde herself when she gets older, people who have known my mam for years and people in town don't even notice it .

Why dont you wait til shes old enough to understand about such things and let her decide, she may not thank you for changing her looks so young, she may get a complex and think that you didnt like it. xxx hope this helps xx

First get it checked by the dermatologists. If its fine then depending on her age show her how to lighten it with make up. If she is little and doesn't notice it why should you?

Ask her what she wants to do. If you are the one who is encouraging her to hide her birth mark, she's always going to be less confident about herself.
