My boyfriend broke up with me because he said he has no time for a relationship (it's long distance). He swears there is no one else it's just that he is not ready for something this serious. He said it's not the end and "we'll see what happens in the future". What does this sound like to you?

It sounds like he wants a breather and that a long distance relationship is too much hassle. He sounds like he's not as involved as you are in the relationship. He sounds like he already knows the answer when he says "we'll see what happens in the future" which is that it's not going to work out. He sounds honest.

well you know him better than us, but to me it sounds like he hasnt got the time (its a great effort to keep a relationship alive never mind long distance) but you know he could have met someone else who is closer and he is saying we'll see what happens in the future as a safe guard for him (that you will be there if it goes wrong) but then on the other hand he might not have someone else. like i said you know him we are judging him by what you are saying.but either way its over so try and move on and find someone else dont wait for him have a life its hard but it will be worth it you dont know you may meet mr right..........

It sounds like he just can't deal with the distance and needs to be on his own for a while. Most likely you are young and he needs time to figure out what he needs. And no one knows what the future holds, we are all at the "we'll see" stage. If he is willing to keep in contact, do so, but move on. Who knows, maybe in a month he'll be knocking at your door saying he made a mistake, but DON'T live your life waiting for that to happen, be free, spend time with friends. Enjoy yourself.

Sounds like the distance was getting to him. He is not ruling out that you might have a future together, he just can't do the long distance thing anymore.

I think he is not in love with you. If he was he could not care less about distance or time. He would make time for you. Forget about him, it will get easier soon. I have been there so I know. Don't wait around to see what happens, move on even if it seems painful right now

he has another girl in the town he lives and if it doesnot work out he can always phone you and see you on weekends-- and its easy to lie about there is no other while speaking through a wire-- some long distance relationships do work but most don't -sorry but thats what it sounds like

Well, if you ask me, my thinking is that, he is giving you the "blow" as gently as he could. Get the gist and moved on.

The sooner you do, the better for you. No use pining for something that is not there anymore. At least he had the decency to tell you that rather than keep you hanging in the dark.

Well, as they say, there are a lot of fish in the ocean. :)

long distance relationships are hard to manage..but if he told you that he doesn't want a serious relationship then he's just being honest...but on the other hand he could be seeing someone else...don't be discourage and find someone near you,, find yourself a real and honest relationship....good luck
