It depends on the outcome. As with everything else that happens to us we need not look at the event but the outcome of the event. Perhaps there is a reason for this. Some people would say What? What could God achieve by striking me with lightning? I don't know the answer to that because i have not lived through it but i am sure there is a reason. You just need to find it.

No, God doesn't want these things to happen to us but sometimes we put ourselves in the way of danger thru our willful acts. I mean I'm sure there are times God lets things happen, we are all destined to die someday so unless we just disappear something will happen. Other times I think He will let things happen for reasons that will lead people to believe in Him or make their faith stronger. But pur God isn't a big mean old God but One of love!
