I want o buy one for my 80y/o mom...the remote controls confuse her. what would be a really simple one, with easy buttons to understand. I dont want calls at 10:00 at niight asking me to come over and "fix" the machine! You know how old folks are!

I used different colored paint on the basic buttons and colored coded it for my grandma. She's 87 and watches all her old movies now that we've transered them to DVD

You are saying that other remotes confuse her. Take time to shop around and take her with you. She might surprise you. All 80 year old women are not alike you know!

shopping around with here is a goo idea. If you think she still will be confused you can stick notes on the basic buttons. Did it with my granny and it works.
