We do believe that God was once a man. We also believe that the righteous who attain exaltation have the oppurtunity to create worlds like our Father created us and this world. We also believe there is a place called Kolob. It is not really a necesary element of our faith. It was spoken of in the Pearl of Great Price, which contains the books of Abraham and Moses, to tell us about the timing of God and give us a sense of eternity. It is the nearest planet to that on which God now lives. There on Kolob, one day is equal to 1000 years here.

The star or planet Kolob is nearest to our Heavenly Father where He now resides on His throne. If you're of so mind, you can read about it in Abraham 3 of the Pearl of Great Price.
One of our prophets many years ago coined the phrase and is ever with us: "As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become."
Jesus had told us to be perfect as He is. Why do you think Jesus told us that in the Bible?

Yes we believe God, our Heavenly Father is an exalted man. Kolob, not Kolog, is the star we believe God lives closest to now, not where He lived before...

No that is Scientologists and it isn't Kolog but Teegeeac and his name was L Ron Hubbard
