Europeans were Immigrants and Undocumented, but now a days,I heard most Europeans are not any more in search of Gold, but in search of Knowledge, and they know knowledge is with the ancient people of Mexico, the oldest Civilization in the Americas, so they are eager to Emigrate there, besides that, the weather, soil and people are great. And also, the main Nation that represents to the modern American Citizens is Mexico, our neighbor and friend, Immigration Laws must be enforced and reformed. I don't support illegal Immigration, but neither illegal exploitation using the argument of the illegal Immigration... got it?

I agree, illegal immigration is a bogus practice, and needs to be abolished. I think the OTHER 199 countries out there need to try and do more to help the world, too.

The americas were transformed by Europe, starting in the 1500's. Numerous wars were fought by several different armies from Europe, resulting in the map you see today.

Mexico itself, though, has not fared nearly as well as the United States has, due to a lot of corruption and other problems. But, there's still hope, but it revolves around their capacity to modernize...they have to do something about a 40% poverty rate that doesn't involve moving en masse to the United States...like start building infrastructure, promoting more schools, basic literacy, distributing more fresh drinking water, rural electrification most likely, all that good 20th century progress business...
we're in the 21st century, now, but a water tap doesn't require a digital interface, except the digits on your hand LOL

Progress isn't easy, but maybe if they really got started in wholehearted fashion, then maybe we'd feel more like helping. But, gotta have evidence it's not just going in someone's pocket, otherwise 'foreign aid' is just the old cliche of poor people in rich countries giving money to rich people in poor countries...no tickee, no money...

Well, it really depends on what time period you are asking about if you want specifics. But, the overall reason was that they were looking for a better life. Many were poor and the new world was supposed to better for their families. They believed there were better jobs and resources in the Americas. Many came as indentured servants. Some were forced to leave Europe by their home governments (ex. Jews from certain parts of Europe beginning in the late 1800s and lasting all the way up until the end of WWII). It was either leave or die, they had no other choice. Others were running from the law. Then there were some who were just looking for adventure. These are just a few of the reasons, as it's really hard to condense them all into one, especially with no time period or particular group specified. As you can see there were many reasons Europeans emigrated to N. America, but they all boil down to the fact that they all wanted a better life. Unfortunately, the same can't be said of Africans....
