All I need is a 4 or 5 digit code in the user manual (which I don't have) to unlock my radio. Like a fool, I left the lights on and the battery went dead. I jumped it off another car, but now when I try to turn on the radio, the display says "COdE". Like I said, I don't have the user manual and my local Honda dealer said it would be in there.

I've already scoured the car and can find no code.

Do you have an "Alarm"?

Typically, when you have an alarm you need to pull the fuze (in the engine by battery) before you jump start. Since you didn't pull the fuze, well, the fuze has been blown ... you need to replace it (cost ~$1.00).

Goto someplace like Checker, or Autoparts ... they have codes listed ... and they have fuzes ... they'll be able to help you.

If you can't find the code anywhere inthe car then you'll have to pull the radio out temporarily to get the serial number and maybe the model number. Then go to the honda dealer and they can look up the code for you. To pull the radio you have to remove the panel below the radio where the change holder is. It is held on by a few screws once that is off there are two 8mm nuts that hold the radio in. You can get to them from under neath once you remove that panel.

Look in the trunk on one of the hinge thingies (the things that hold the trunk up) the sticker should be there...at least its there on my 98 prelude...

check the truck, or in the engine bay on the hood...thats your best bet.
